The Drive-In Jacket

£5.95, PDF download
Choose the size nearest your actual bust measurement. The pattern adds the ease the original design had.
The original: Bulky (chunky), at about 16 sts and 26 rows to 4 in (10 cm) over seed stitch. For the closest match to the photo, use a yarn that knits to this gauge. Super bulky yarns and anything finer than DK aren't offered: the seed-stitch collar would be too stiff, or the jacket would lose its textured, cosy look.
Your gauge
This one needs a swatch. Please measure your gauge over seed stitch (knit the purls and purl the knits on every row). The whole jacket is in seed stitch. The gauge on a yarn label is measured over plain stockinette, and this stitch pattern knits up differently, so the label won't give you the right size.
This pattern can be written for 14 to 24 stitches per 4 in (10 cm). How to measure your gauge
